Several families in Walla Walla have been displaced after an early morning fire in Walla Walla Monday.

Around 12:26AM, fire crews arrived at a multi-family structure in the 200 block of North 5th. Ave. to find it fully engulfed in flames and smoke. Police said they heard yelling, and found some people were still inside.

They were able to evacuate everyone safely, one young woman was taken to an area hospital for smoke inhalation, but will be OK.  No word yet on the cause of the fire, the investigation continues.
