Possibly Intoxicated Man Fights Hospital Staff, ‘Bites’ Off Medical Equipment

Monday night police responded to the 3000 block of West 4th, near the Highlander Apartments in Kennewick, and found a rather disturbed suspect.

Police say Tyler Fernald was suspected to have broken glass or windows at the location, he was screaming that someone was chasing him. Due to his erratic behavior police suspected he was under the influence of narcotics, and he was taken to TRIOS Southridge ER for evaluation.

While there, he reported 'bit off' medical equipment, and threatened the Doctor and nursing staff. After his discharge he was taken to the Benton County jail.
