A woman called Kennewick police Saturday around midnight when she saw someone sitting in her car.

The woman confronted the person and the suspect and another person ran inside Hawaiian Village Apartments on West 10th. Police made contact with the suspects inside the unit and arrested 30-year-old Ty Cornwell and 28-year-old Brittney Sanchez.

Both had outstanding warrants, and a search of the apartment led to the discovery of  tools associated with breaking into vehicles such as a shaved key and other devices.

Both were arrested on the outstanding warrants and breaking and entering. Sanchez was also charged with resisting arrest. Inside the apartment several other suspects were also arrested but their names not released.
