Richland police say the investigation has begun into an shooting incident early Friday morning.

Police were called to the 1000 block of Sanford Street for a report of shots being fired at a house and car.

The street is closed between Swift and Partridge, no word on how long officers will be there.  Police say no one outside the property is at risk. One suspect fled the scene and police are actively searching for them.

Police were engaged in a standoff near Williams Boulevard near Marshall Street they believe was related to the shooting. Sources say they were calling on a bullhorn for someone named "Crystal" to exit the home and come out. Richland SWAT was on scene with their armored vehicle. About 10-15 people have been detained between the two residences.
