Remember door to door solicitors must have a City of Kennewick business license and a Door to Door Solicitors card with them and must present them upon request.

Kennewick Police responded to a complaint about a possible scam Monday. The victim said she was contacted at her residence by a male identifying himself as working with Spectrum Cable. He came into the victim's apartment and worked on the cable. He then advised he could save her $299 if she paid a $50 admin fee which she obliged with a check. She then realized the cable was not hooked up properly and decided to report the incident.

Turns out the man was not an employee of Spectrum or any related company. Kennewick City officials when whenever you're in doubt about a door-to-door salesperson, demand to see their city-issued solicitors card. And, you can call the city and verify this person actually has one!
