Seahawks QB Boykin Arrested for Pot in Texas Car Crash
Seattle Seahawks backup QB Trevone Boykin was arrested for possession of marijuana after being a passenger in a car that crashed into a bar and ran down pedestrians. Early Monday morning in Dallas, Shabrika Bailey lost control of her car and slammed into pedestrians on a sidewalk and then crashing into the wall of a nightclub according to news reports. Police say that eight people were injured with non-life threatening injuries and sent to a local hospital. Boykin was a passenger in the car but was found with over 2 ounces of marijuana and arrested on misdemeanor charges of marijuana possession and public intoxication.
Boykin is still on probation for an incident in 2015 where he punched an officer that was trying to break up a fight. Boykin pleaded guilty and paid over $1,700 in fines and probation for one year. No comment yet from the Seattle Seahawks about Boykin's status.
