They had hoped to get the attention of Seattle Holiday and Black Friday shoppers by staging various protests in the Westlake area and Wal Mart in Renton, but it failed.

Shoppers simply walked past the 100 or so Occupy folks in the Westlake area, and when the annual tree lighting ceremony began, the protestors were largely swallowed up by thousands of citizens who came to watch the tree.   By in large, the shoppers, according to police, and shoppers themselves, they ignored the Occupy members.   One Occupy "spokesman" tried to spin their protest as focusing the holiday shopping on small businesses, and away from the rampant corporations who they claim have taken over the holiday....that's pretty funny-since the Occupy Movement is largely an attack on capitalism itself.
