Shootout At Gas Station And Car Chase Lands 4 in Jail [VIDEO]
Toppenish police were busy Monday night, responding to a report of gunfire, then a car chase, then landing 4 people in jail.
The incident began around 11pm when calls came pouring in about shots being fired at the Western Gas convenience store on Elm Street.
Toppenish police arrived then an officer saw a Honda in the area with damage to the windshield and frame. It was leaving the vicinity. The officer gave chase, then the car failed to negotiate a right turn as the driver was trying to flee the city limits.
Both driver and passenger were arrested. Meanwhile, police at the store arrested two people in a red Dodge pickup. Surveillance camera footage from the store showed the people in the two vehicles shooting at each other, according to the Yakima Herald.
No one was injured in the melee', and apparently no damage done to the convenience store, at least after initial investigation. The four perps are in the Yakima County jail.
