Even if you only watch sports channels, you've seen this hot-button issue!  Should New York City host the famed Marathon this weekend? Supporters, including Mayor Michael Bloomberg, point to the $300 million it will reportedly make for the city. Bloomberg claims many areas of the city will have power and basic services restored by Sunday and traffic will be a non-issue. Those opposed to the idea point to the thousands who still don't (and won't) have even food to eat. The death toll is climbing and police, fire and other infrastructure should be used for relief efforts.

Bloomberg said the city "must go on," perhaps trying to channel Rudy Giuliani after 9/11.  What are your thoughts? Should the event still be staged? Take our poll.
