Soggy Suspect Swept from River, Facing Multiple Charges
Maybe he thought the Special Olympics Polar Plunge was FRIDAY.
Around 4:30pm, Kennewick police responded to the 500 block of East Kennewick Ave. on a trespassing call, and located a suspect, who fled on food.
He headed north and ended up jumping into the Columbia River. 38-year-old Nicholas Jacome, refused to leave the water, but finally after about 10-15 minutes, the frigid temps and police persuasion got him out.
Soaking wet, he was taken to Trios ER for evaluation, then to the Benton County jail on outstanding warrants as well as trespassing, obstruction, and resisting arrest.
