Stolen SUV Wild Chase Driver Now Blamed for Armed Robbery, He’s 16!
What began as a stolen SUV chase early Thursday morning has now led police to believe the driver, a 16-year-old juvenile, is responsible for an armed robbery that occurred in Pasco.
Police noticed an SUV matching the description of one recently stolen, and reportedly linked to a pair of armed robberies. The vehicle was driving erratically, but when police tried to pull them over, the driver sped off.
A chase ensued, involving both Pasco and Kennewick units, before the driver was finally crashed into the concrete wall dividing the road on Highway 395 near Yelm. The SUV was reported stolen, and now police say the driver is linked to at least one of the two armed robberies that occurred near 24th and Court in Pasco.
The driver has been booked on multiple charges, and reports from our news partner KNDU-TV indicate a possible second suspect is being sought. That person might have also been in the vehicle, but fled the scene of the crash. The suspect in custody might also be linked to a Kennewick robbery that occurred on the 12th.
