Aggressive Suspect to Face Felony Charges After Assaulting Police K9
Police K9 Sable was assaulted by a suspect yesterday before the man was captured.
Several law enforcement agencies were working together to capture the suspect after he ran into the river to avoid arrest.

Prosser Police originally suspected the man for felony assault when he fled the area.
The Benton County Fire Department and Sheriff's Office responded to the call on their joint boat with K9 Sable.
Before running into the river to evade officers, the suspect struck Sable SEVERAL times with a log from the river. The Benton County Sheriff's Office says the animal was not hurt in the assault.
After the man was in custody, he was turned over to the Prosser Police Department.
The Benton County Sheriff's Office is requesting extra charges to be added for resisting arrest and attempting to injure a police dog. Throw the book at him.
