Suspect Found in Kennewick’s First Murder of the Year
Grant Scantling, the prime suspect in a Friday-night murder on 8th Place, was found by police.
Officers responded to a shooting Friday morning at 520 E 8th Place, apartment A. The 911 call came from inside the home where the victim and the suspected killer both lived.
Upon arrival, police found a 21-year-old Franklin Scott Evans Palmer dead from what appeared to be a gunshot wound.
Authorities have since arrested 41-year-old Grant Wayne Scantling as a suspect in this murder. Scantling was found by police in Spokane late Friday night where a standoff occurred. Scantling eventually surrendered willingly.
