Suspect in Market Robbery Sought in Kennewick

 Kennewick Police are searching for the suspect in a market robbery Thursday night.

HOW WAS THIS ONE DIFFERENT FROM RECENT STRING OF SIMILAR CRIMES?

Unlike the recent 3-4 convenience store robberies involving Rocket Mart on Canal and several Circle K stores, this one occurred at the Euro Market at 3101 W. Clearwater.

A suspect entered the store and implied they had a weapon, demanded money, and left.

Police didn't say if the suspect was male or release any further details, it's now an active investigation. An attempt to track the suspect with a K-9 was not successful.

Fortunately, the clerk was not hurt. The Euro Market features a variety of ethnic foods and items from other countries, a popular spot for those looking for products to make their native dishes.

This marks a noticeable departure from the 'standard' convenience store 'hit.' In the last week to ten days, a couple of Circle K stores, Rocket Mart on Canal, and another venue have been robbed.
