Suspicious Finley Fire Third One This Year on Same Property

An early Friday morning fire near Cochran Road and Highway 397 in Finley has fire crews suspecting possible arson.

Around 2:45am Benton County Fire District One crews responded to the blaze, which consumed about one acre of fenced off property.

The grass and brush were controlled quickly, but officials say this is the third time they've had to respond to this area.

A gate and barbed wire that surround the property made access difficult for crews, when they arrived they found a shed, two cars and some equipment already in flames. Officials didn't say who the owner of the land is.

Crews had to wait until sunrise to begin the investigation as to how it may have started.
