Suspicious Kennewick Blaze Started in a Bucket, Say Cops
It was not noted by Police or Fire crews if any property was threatened or damaged, and the investigation continues into a mysterious fire that was found to have originated from a bucket. Yes, a bucket used for hauling water, dirt etc.
Fire and Police were called to the area near East Albany and North Date Street in Kennewick around 10:15PM Tuesday night for reports of a fire. Upon arrival crews were quickly able to contain and extinguish the large blaze, and that's when they were able to discern a bucket full of combustible materials was the culprit.
Whomever set it is not yet known, authorities didn't say if they have any suspects. Anyone who may have been in the area or has any information is urged to call (509)-628-0333. All leads can be confidential. The fire has been officially labeled "suspicious" by investigators.
