Fife and Wenatchee are being sued by perspective marijuana growers and sellers, and the State Attorney General appears to be possibly taking the side of the cities.

This week Attorney General Bob Ferguson said he sees no problem with county and municipal governments banning marijuana retail stores. The American Civil Liberties Union says it will respond with legal action if needed.

Congressional hearings were held this week before the House Natural Resources Committee at the bequest of Rep. Doc Hastings, the committee chair.

This story has grabbed the attention of Americans from coast to coast.
