It's been in the works since 2018.

GESA has made a lot of changes since it started in 1953.

The process began in August, but was announced this week. The merger will be completed the first week of November.

Saying difficulties in "surviving" was the primary factor,  Central Washington Federal Credit Union of Yakima has finalized it's plans to merge with GESA Credit Union, who is based out of Tri-Cities.
