Two years after losing a hotly contested and close race to Rep. Dan Newhouse, Clint Didier is giving it another run.

Rep. Dan Newhouse issued a statement Wednesday following the election of Paul Ryan as the new Speaker of the House, replacing John Boehner.

After starting off nice, it turned into a bitter campaign.  For the first time in our state's 125 year history, two candidates from the same party opposed each other on a Congressional ballot.

A judge in Spokane has agreed to hear 4th District candidate Clint Didier's motion against Washington State Potato Commission Executive Director Chris Voigt.

According to a very recent FreedomWorks poll,   Clint Didier is leading Dan Newhouse by a margin of 35 to 33 percent, but 26 percent say they are undecided.

It's rather ironic that virtually the same time the Washington State Executive Ethics Commission has fined the Executive Director of the State's Powerful Potato board,  the State Farm Bureau announced it's endorsing Dan Newhouse for Congress.

The Washington State Executive Ethics board says there's "reasonable cause" behind allegations that the Grant County Chairman of the Dan Newhouse campaign, who is also the Executive Director of the Washington State Potato Commission,  committed ethics violations this summer.   The violations stem from using state potato commission resources to help the campaign.  And there's more.
