It would be the second robot for the hospital, and would they say, meet a critical need.

We understand the role that robots and other technology can play in life, especially if the technology allows them to adequately perform their tasks. But we couldn't stop laughing about this one.

Just what the designers wanted to hear. Their robot, designed to educate and entertain children, went 'rogue' at a tech fair in China, and ended up injuring one of the attendees!

There's a hotel inside a theme park in Nagasaki, Japan, that hopes to eventually be 100-percent staffed with robots. Phase 1 is the check-in desk. A handful of animatronic androids fashioned to look like attractive Japanese women will greet you and check you in whether you speak Japanese, Chinese, Korean or English.

It's one thing to be replaced by another actor or famous person, but in this case,  Clooney's been bumped by a computer chip.

They may not be widely used NOW, but give it a few years...

The machines are indeed taking over.
