The last tornado to hit Spokane was in 2016.

The Better Business Bureau and the Washington State Attorney General's office are already warning citizens to be careful how they donate to Oklahoma tornado relief.

Officials in Oklahoma have lowered the number of deaths suffered to 24 in the massive tornado that swept through the town of Moore Monday night. Originally, the figure had been as high as 51, probably a result of double-counting.

Ok, we don't get the big tornadoes like those forecast for parts of Texas and Oklahoma (the central and southern plains) this weekend, and into next week.  But we DO occasionally get our share of freak weather.  Would you be prepared?

Between 10 and 18 tornadoes ripped through the Dallas area on Tuesday. Homes were destroyed, vehicles were tossed around like rag dolls and residents frantically sought shelter. And many folks captured the wreckage on their video cameras and phones.

In the aftermath of the Joplin MO tornado and others that have claimed at least 130 lives, new footage of part of a string of twisters that have crossed Kansas, and Oklahoma.

After the massive tornado tore through Joplin Missouri late Sunday, survivors were saying the devastation reminded them of old WWII footage.
