Washington State has had its share of unsolved mysteries over the years. One that stands out and still baffles many to this day is the “Maury Island Incident,” which happened a few days before the famous Roswell UFO event.
According to the National UFO Reporting Center, residents of Washington State have reported 6885 UFOs since the reporting center was founded in 1974. That’s an average of 143 reports a year in Washington. Only California and Florida have more.
A Pocatello area resident recently contacted the National UFO Reporting Center after witnessing an unexplained object interacting with some helicopters last week. The witness claims to have watched the ordeal take place for close to 30-minutes.
It appears UFOs like to visit Washington more than any other state because we have the most reported sightings on record -- even beating out UFO hot bed New Mexico!
The Pasco Naval Air Station, which is now largely the site of the Pasco Airport and Bergstrom Aircraft, saw it's share of activity during World War II. Besides training hundreds of Navy pilots who later saw duty aboard aircraft carriers in the Pacific, pilots and crew experienced something else, out of the this world perhaps?
