It's unusual that this occurred during the day, most such shootings are at night.

Around 11:28AM Kennewick Police were called to a home in the 2100 block of North Steptoe for reports of shots being fired. The reporting party said they heard at least 3 shots, then something broke-shattered in their bathroom.

Upon arrival officers found multiple bullets had hit the residence, and apparently one of them missed a sleeping child by just inches. Police believe the house was targeted but did not elaborate on that. They say there's no threat to general public.

The suspect, who was captured on area surveillance video as he was leaving, it described as light or white skinned male, a red and white stocking cap, a black or dark green jacket, baggy blue jeans and black shoes.

The incident is under investigation. Anyone who may have additional information is urged to call (509)-628-0333. All leads can be confidential. No one was hurt inside the home by the bullets.
