Senator Mark Schoesler wants YOUR input..whatever's on your mind!

If you live in Northern Franklin County, Adams, Grant; from Ritville to Clarkston, From Basin City, Mesa and Connell, don't miss the Telephone Town Hall with Senator Schoesler. From his official e-newsletter:

You’re invited to my tele-town hall meeting Tuesday
Let’s suppose it’s a cold December evening and you want to talk to your local state senator. Your choices are:

  1. Bundle up, climb in the car, drive however far to a public meeting space and sit for up to an hour, then return home; or
  2. Sit in your favorite chair and pick up the phone.

I’ve hosted many a town hall meeting in 19 years as a lawmaker, and there’s no substitute for seeing the people I represent in person. But if the choice is to meet in person with 20 people who braved the weather and road conditions or meet by telephone with 2,000 people who didn’t have to leave home, I’ll take the latter because more people are able to participate – safely and conveniently.
My telephone town halls have received great responses in past years, so I’ll have another one this next Tuesday. It’s easy to participate: just dial 1-877-229-8493 and, when asked for a PIN, enter 17455. The call begins at approximately 7 p.m. and lasts for one hour.
If you’ve ever been part of a conference call, or listened to a radio talk show that has people calling in, then the format will be familiar. You may listen in on part or all of the conversation, ask a question, and take part in instant polls.
Now is a particularly good time for a tele-town hall. We can discuss how the Legislature might deal with this latest budget gap, and the governor’s plan to raise the sales tax, and what lies ahead in the special legislative session, as well as the regular legislative session starting next month.
I hope you’ll be able to join me!
