Tri-Cities and Yakima School Delays/Closures for January 4th
Icy roadways are on tap for the second day back from Christmas break for local schools and we've got several delays and closures already this morning.
Here are the complete listings and delays so far that we've tallied for you.

Closed Schools In The Yakima and Columbia Basin Regions
Starbuck School District: 2 Hour Delay
Pendleton School District: Closed
Goldendale Sch. Dist.: Closed UPDATE
Umatilla School District: Closed
Hermiston Sch. Dist.: Classes canceled.
Columbia Sch. Dist.: Closed. The school will be closed today - Tuesday, January 4th due to slick conditions.
Schools That Are Delayed In The Yakima and Columbia Basin Region:
Sunnyside Sch. Dist.: 2 Hours Late, No AM preschool UPDATE
Toppenish Sch. Dist.: 2 Hours Late, No AM preschool
Wapato Sch. Dist.: 2 Hours Late, No AM preschool, AM/PM Buses on snow routes UPDATE
North Franklin School District is 2hr delay
Pasco on 2 hour delay
Dixie Sch. Dist.: 2 Hours Late. No Lewis Peak route. No breakfast will be served.
Prosser School District: 2 Hour Delay
Imbler School District: 2 Hour Delay
Athena-Weston School District: 2 Hour Delay
Patterson School District: 2 Hour delay. There is no preschool today. If you're taking the Mercer Route, they say to meet at 100 Circles station for the snow route.
Morrow County School District: Heppner schools only are on a three-hour delay with snow routes in place.
Milton-Freewater Unified School District -- 2-HOUR DELAY
North Powder School District -- 2-HOUR DELAY
Waitsburg School District: 2 Hours Late, No AM preschool
Perry Tech in Yakima: On a delayed schedule. Staff and Faculty are to start at 9 a.m. with all other employees coming in at 9:30 a.m. Students will start classes at 10 a.m.
Eastern Oregon University: 2 Hour delay. EOU is delaying opening the La Grande campus so that campus office operations and on-campus classes will resume at 10 a.m. Employees and on-campus partners are not to report for work until that time. Online courses are expected to operate as normal.
Blue Mountain Community College: All Campuses on a delay. Classes start at 11 a.m. All classes scheduled before 11 a.m. have been canceled, and the Baker County Center is still closed today.
City of Prosser: 2 Hour Delay. City Hall will open at 10 a.m.
