After passing the Senate Rules Committee by a 14-7 vote, Gov. Gregoire's gay marriage will will be  headed to the Senate Floor Wednesday evening.

The bill is expected to pass the Senate by about 25 votes,  after which it will head to the House floor, where there are already enough publicly declared votes to pass the measure.    Opponents of  the bill say upon passage, they will attempt to challenge it with a referendum, possibly by this November's election season.
