A Hit Song Was Once Inspired By Lewiston Hill

Located high above the Lewis/Clark Valley is the Vista House. It's right on the top of Lewiston Hill, infamous for being one of the most treacherous highways in America.

The old Spiral Highway is even featured in the song "Hot Rod Lincoln" by Commander Cody and his Lost Airmen, which was a hit in the 1970s.

As a kid, we'd go to the top of Lewiston Hill to see some amazing views. I remember taking a few girlfriends to the top of the hill, admiring the 360-degree views.
