It's no secret that Minor League Baseball has some of the coolest looking hats in all of professional sports. Not only are MLB affiliated teams very creative with on-field promotions, but their team names and hats bring in millions of dollars in merchandising every year.

Now that the Dust Devils are entering their third year as being the Short Season Class A club for the San Diego Padres, we thought we'd look at who's got the coolest looking hat of their affiliates, from A to AAA.  Check out our gallery, then drop us a line on our Facebook and tell us what you think. By the way, we're going to pick a random winner from everyone who comments, and get you some Dust Devils swag in July! So look, and comment away on our Facebook. Here we go.

  • Dusty the Dust Devil.  Tri-City is the Padre's entry level for most of their draft picks. Most MLB draftees start in Short-Season A ball. Dusty is a popular hat, not just in the Tri-Cities. The home hat has him on it, the away hat has a big "TC".
  • Fort Wayne Tincaps.  Fort Wayne Indiana. This is the Padre's long-season, or high A baseball squad.  What IS a Tincap, anyway? My oldest sister lives in Indiana, I should ask her.
  • San Antonio Missions. For those who make it to Double A, this is where you will be playing.
  • And finally, one step short of The Show, the Padre's Triple-A team resides in El Paso, Texas.  The El Pasco Chihuahuas.  We wanna get one of these.

We will let you know soon what your thoughts are, and which of these is the coolest hat. And remember, a random winner will be chosen from those who comment on our Facebook and we will hook you up with some Dust Devils swag.
