Whoops! Startled Burglar Leaves Keys, AND Cellphone Behind

Benton County Deputies say they are searching for a suspect, wanted in connection with a would be burglary Tuesday evening.

They were called to the Summit View area, about 1 1/2 from the intersection of Badger Road and I-82, and learned a burglar had been interrupted in a break in. The male suspect fled, leaving behind car keys and his cellphone.

A K-9 track led to a residence and this vehicle, which was reported stolen out of Richland. The car keys started up the vehicle, and some other personal items were recovered that did not belong to the owner.

Deputies say if anyone recalls one or possibly two persons walking in the Summit View area around 6PM Tuesday night, possibly walking a dog, or have any other information, please call (509)-628-0333. All leads can be confidential.
