Why Would You Speed in A Stolen Car, With Drugs?
Saturday West Richland police had one of those 'it fell in their laps' arrests.
Officer Grimes was conducting some routine speed check patrols (where they set up and spend a few minutes tracking passing vehicles on radar then move on) when this little silver sedan in the picture goes flying by, doing 47 in a 35 zone.
The officer pulled over the driver, and learned not only was the car reported stolen out of Pasco a short time earlier, but the woman behind the wheel had a suspended license and illegal narcotics in her purse. Pasco police were called to take the two people into custody, turns out the passenger was wanted on an outstanding warrant.
One would think if you're going to swipe a vehicle, you would at least try to look innocuous, go the speed limit? Guess not!
