It was a wild Tuesday in East Pasco, near Highland Park just off Oregon Ave.

Pasco Police responded around 3PM to a report of a domestic related incident. It seems the suspect, ID'd as 47-year-old John Michael Desmarais of Yakima, had used his Black Dodge Durango as a weapon.

Witnesses and the victim said Desmarais had damaged their truck, then used his vehicle to ram it repeatedly causing more damage. During one of his 'blasts' there were three people inside the truck; one of the witnesses said they had to jump out of the way to avoid being struck and possibly run over. Extensive damage was done to the victim's vehicle.

By the time Police arrived Desmarais had fled, but his abandoned vehicle was later located in Pasco with a flat tire, it seems it had been poked with a knife during the encounter.  Richland Police along with other agencies were alerted, and officers found him in town and he was arrested.

He's now in the Franklin County jail facing a long list of potential charges including;

"...three counts of Assault Second Degree (one of which is DV). Desmarais may also face misdemeanor charges for two counts of Malicious Mischief (one DV), Hit-and-Run, and driving while suspended."---Pasco Police.

The investigation continues, but it appears the melee' involved some sort of issues over a domestic relationship.
