Window Smashing Suspect Leads Cops on Wild Foot Chase

Police say the man smashing windows was using a large crowbar in downtown Walla Walla Monday night, but they still don't know his motivation.

36-year-old Abel Valdez was seen smashing windows in the 900 block of West Birch Street around 10:50pm.

Police who arrived saw him smash several windows as they pulled up, and began a pursuit. While he was fleeing, Abel continued to bash windows. In fact, he bashed through two large pane windows in an effort to escape, but that slowed him down and he was taken down by officers. He's now facing a multitude of felony and other charges.

The cost of his window smashing was not revealed yet.
