A Yakima Valley native was among the eight people killed at a Travis Scott concert over the weekend.

The concert held at the Astroworld Festival in Houston featured a two-day event featuring Drake and Travis Scott that came to a halt on Friday night as eight people including two teenagers were killed when the crowd surged forward.

Who Is Axel Acosta?

Axel Acosta, 21, attended Highland High School in Cowiche and was attending Western Washington University studying computer science. Acosta's father Edgar identified Alex according to an article posted by KOMO.

There already have been lawsuits filed against the festival organizers, Travis Scott and Drake, and the incident is still under investigation.

Acosta's Had Some Issues Identifying His Son With Local Police

Edgar Acosta did say that he had a tough time filing a missing person's report with local police when Axel didn't call or contact the family after the concert.

At the time of this writing, 13 others remain hospitalized from their injuries.
