2nd Time NOT a Charm for Domestic Violence Suspect
Kennewick Police say this incident drives home the need to pay close attention to family and friends, who may be suffering from domestic violence.
In the early morning hours January 9, officers responded to West 9th Court, and found a victim had been threatened by 27-year-old Salvador Pantaleon-Martinez who was in violation of a court-ordered no protection order. Police said he took her cellphone and punched her several times before leaving. He fled on foot just before officers arrived.
Then just over six hours later arouond 7:44AM, he returned to the same home, and assaulted her again, seizing her phone when she tried to call 911. After contacting an area resident during the investigation officers learned Martinez had come to their residence and asked to come inside. Police then surrounded the home and apprehended him.
He's now facing the following charges: two counts of Robbery 2nd Degree, two counts of Felony Order Violation DV, a Felony DOC warrant, and misdemeanor warrant for Theft.
