A three car accident happened in Kennewick on Monday because of the most common mistake Tri-City drivers make, following too close. The crash was caused when the front truck stopped suddenly for a pedestrian crossing the street. The second car, a van, managed to stop but a third truck behind did not and crashed into the van. Then the van was pushed into the first truck, causing the 3 car accident.

The pedestrian was not hit by any of the cars but passengers of some of the cars had minor injuries. The truck that caused the accident got a citation for following too close, the number one cause of accidents say police.
