3rd Annual Beardfest Kicks Off This Saturday
Yes, Beardfest is a real event that celebrates beards and beverages and it kicks off Saturday.
It's time to take a road trip to Yakima for beards and beverages for this Saturday's Beardfest.
The third annual celebration of beards and beverages kicks off this Saturday night at 6:00 PM. The event will be held at Bearded Monkey Cycling and Fitness, 1802 West Nob Hill Blvd in Yakima.
Last year’s event drew a crowd of over 500 as the beards and beverages came together to celebrate.
According to a press release:
There will be live music by Vaudeville Etiquette and special guest Zach Hinson, Beardfest will serve up local craft beer by Hop Nation Brewing Company, Cowiche Creek Brewing Company, Single Hill Brewing Company, Berchman's Brewing Company & Taproom, and Bale Breaker Brewing Company. The featured local wine is by AntoLin Cellars and cider will be provided by Tieton Cider Works. Mixed drinks will be available from Swede Hill Distilling.
Food will be provided by The Ciao Wagon, Los Chavos Tacos, and the Squeeze Inn Food Truck.
“Beardfest is more than beards and brews. It is a celebration of Yakima’s spirit and what makes this a great place to live, work, go to school and do business. It’s a real community gathering,” said Lance Reese, Beardfest coordinator and co- owner of Bearded Monkey Cycling and Fitness.
Beardfest will feature a Best Beard Competition where prizes will be awarded by our judges for the most impressive beards of the night.
The messy pie eating contest will be sure to please. Don’t forget to vote for the best local beverages and help us crown the people's choice winner!
Beardfest admission is $10 and it's a 21 and over event. You can get more details at Bearded Monkey's Facebook here
