It began with a handful, then people continually rolling in with flags, hats banners and signs. Warm reception we saw from traffic. Honks, waves, thumbs up, and a biker busting eardrums with waves and throttle. And, no counter protesters.
The event organizer is a person who's been associated with several other protests in our area. Event statement on Facebook disparages the 4th of July, and says Junteenth, June 19 1865 is the real Independence Day for All Americans, "not the whitewashed narrative of July 4 1776."
