Police had not said if these are considered part of some 20 other break ins since early October.

Between Black Friday and the end of Saturday Nov. 30,  police say some 7 commercial businesses were broken into, or attempts at break ins were made.

Most of the burglary attempts were in the same general area of East Kennewick.  Friday,  there were three break ins, at  Jack's Superior Auto Body at 310 W. Columbia Drive,  Accurate Automotive at 112 W. Columbia Drive, and Blue Ribbon Recovery Services, at 120 W. Entiat - all in the same general vicinity.  A single suspect was captured on video at two locations, and while the number of items taken was minimal,  it appears numerous vehicles were searched by the suspect.

Saturday, burglaries were reported at  Premier Woodworks,  Golden Crown Auto Sales, HAPS RV Storage, and Bennett Rentals.  These businesses are also in the same general area of the 100 block of West Canal, to Fruitland,  Entiat to Columbia Drive.  A gold Chevy 1500 pickup stolen from Premier Woodworks was found at Golden Crown Auto Sales, while a Black 2000 Nissan Sentra was taken from the auto log, but later recovered.  Police say an alarm and security monitoring system likely scared off the thief at Bennett Rentals.

Several leads are being followed up on today.  Anyone with information is asked to confidentially report it to Tri-Cities Crime Stoppers at (509)-586-TIPS (8477).
