It used to be everyone wanted to drive in Montana, as they didn have a speed limit on the Interstate.  Now, here comes Texas!

New state highway 130, a toll road being built from San Antonio to north of Austin, is being designed to take some of the commuter pressure off Interstate 35.  The road, according to officials, is being designed with high speed perameters in mind.  The road is slated to open before the end of the year, and will be highest posted speed in the US.  Texas and Utah have some stretches of Interstates that allow speeds of 80 mph, but this would be the fastest.

In case you wondered when the speed limit came into effect in Montana (who used to NOT have one!) it was 1999.  yay.  Take our poll.  Do you favor higher speed limits?
