Adams County Homicide Suspect Nabbed After Oregon Chase, Shootout
Adams County Sheriff's officials report a wanted homicide suspect has been captured in Oregon.
Multhomah County Deputies notified Adams County that 26-year-old Grayson Morris was captured after a chase. Oregon State Police were pursuing a "person of interest" who was linked to a recent homicide investigation in Adams County.
Morris reportedly stopped during the chase along I-84, and exchanged gunfire with Oregon State Troopers, then near Rooster Rock State Park, he allegedly carjacked another vehicle from a victim and drove another 18 miles before a pit maneuver was used to bring him to a stop.
He was surrounded and captured. He's now being extradited to Adams County, and is facing the following charges, at least:
- attempted murder (four counts)
- unlawful use of a weapon (four counts)
- 1st. degree robbery (1 count)
- unauthorized use of a vehicle (1 count)
- and attempt to elude (1 count)
