After Standoff Female Suspects Give Up to Cops in Kennewick

Kennewick's Criminal Apprehension Team (CAT) are like nighttime ninjas, really. So many times we've heard of arrests or apprehensions of wanted suspects...poof!

Early Friday morning, no different. Police said the CAT team, likely working on a tip or some fresh information, located two wanted suspects in an apartment in the 1200 block of West 10th.

The CAT and other officers surrounded the apartment, but Artemisa Sanchez and Evangelina Chaverin refused to exit. Finally, around 2AM they gave themselves up to officers. No one was injured during the standoff. Authorities did not say why they were being sought, but when the CAT team is called in or utilized, it's usually significant.
