Alleged Sex Abuse Suspect Had Female Accomplice, Say Police
Kennewick Police now say a woman is also in custody in relation to a sexual abuse case.
On June 7th a Kennewick Patrol Officer was contacted by a juvenile female, and said she'd been the subject of sexual abuse for several years.
Following an in-depth interview and preliminary investigation, 38 year old Bret Emineth was taken into custody and a search was done at a home in the 2000 block of West 2nd. Ave.
It is believed Police were able to recover evidence at that location, and now Emineth is facing 2nd Degree Child Rape charges.
Then Wednesday, Police updated the case, saying a second interview with the victim led to information implicating Emineth's girlfriend, 35 year old Malesa Hale, as being an accomplice in the abuse. She, according to the victim, took part in the abuse.
Now Hale has also been jailed, and is facing 3rd Degree Child Rape allegations. The investigation continues more information expected to be released.
