Area Legion Baseball Team To Honor Vets With Free Baseball June 24th
American Legion baseball was founded in the U.S. in 1925, and since then, nearly half of all MLB Players have played some sort of legion baseball, mostly at the high school level. There are a number of strong legion teams in the Mid-Columbia area.
Saturday June 24th, the Twin City Titans, the Senior AAA team that's sponsored by American Legion Post 34, plans to honor all veterans and their families. The Titans will be taking on the Walla Walla Bruins in a double-header event starting at 5pm.
The game will be held at Richland's Bomber Baseball field next to Fran Risch Stadium. Vets will be treated to a hamburger, or hot dog and steak sandwich, potato salad, baked beans and a drink for free.
And the center grandstand seating will be reserved for vets and their families. So mark the date, and let other vets know, Saturday June 24th at Richland's Bomber Baseball field, a special Vets Night salute with the Twin City Titans Legion team.
