A pregnant woman is OK as is her pending child after an assault in Kennewick Tuesday evening.

  MALE SUSPECT PUT UP A FIGHT AND RAN

Around 8 PM Police were called to the 2800 block of West Kennewick Ave., a woman called 9-1-1 to say her boyfriend and she was pregnant. While responding dispatch told the Officers the man had multiple outstanding warrants as well.

Upon arrival, Police were able to locate the man, whose name was not given but during the arrest he resisted. Despite being in handcuffs, he tried to bolt and run away but was quickly apprehended. The woman was taken to a nearby hospital for precautionary measures, she and baby are OK. The man had to be treated for minor injuries sustained in the chase, he's now in the Benton County Jail.  Not only is he in for his outstanding warrants, but for resisting arrest, giving false statements and other charges.

Then shortly before midnight Police responded to the 100 block of East 4th. Ave and found a home had been hit by multiple bullets. Fortunately, no one was hurt, but Police believe the home was targeted. They did not say if it was gang-related, but say it's an isolated incident and the public is not in danger. That investigation continues. No word if any casings or slugs recovered yet.
