Attic Fire Destroys Apartments in Richland

Monday afternoon, Richland fire crews were called to 1915 Hoxie Ave, to battle an attic fire in a small apartment complex.

Around 3:40 pm, crews arrived to find smoke pouring from the attic area of the building. The roof was either burned off, some was removed so crews could fight the blaze. Due to the fire, smoke and water the buildings are uninhabitable and structurally unsound, say fire crews.

Four units were affected, no one was injured. The cause of the fire is not yet known. Another view of the apartments prior to blaze.
