As the investigation continues, the Benton County Coroner released the results of the autopsy on a 46-year-old West Richland man, who was fatally shot after a domestic violence incident when he pointed a shotgun at a Deputy.  The neighborhood is pictured in our story.

The coroner said Friday Douglas West died from gunshot wounds his right arm and body. Tuesday night, Deputies were called to the 3700 block of Hazelwood Drive in West Richland.  West's wife,who called police, said he was armed and was threatening officers, according to yaktrinews.com

Shortly after officers arrived around 10:40pm, West left the house armed with a shotgun, and was shot by Deputy John Clary. Clary has been placed on standard administrative leave, per the conclusion of the shooting investigation.

West was taken to Kadlec Regional Medical Center, but died from his injuries.
