Bad Lane Change Leads to 2 People Being Hurt in Kennewick
Driving in winter road conditions means you need to pay attention or you could hit a parked car on the side of the road.
Anthony J. Ramirez, a 34-year-old Richland man, was driving a maroon 2000 Mitsubishi Gallant south on Highway 395 in Kennewick early Christmas morning, according to the Washington State Patrol.
When he exited the highway to go east on Highway 240, he struck a parked white 2001 Chevrolet Lumina that was sitting on the shoulder.
Ramirez was taken to Trios Health Center at 2 a.m. to be treated for his injuries.
Robert L. Henry, a 46-year-old Connell man, was injured when his Lumina was struck and taken to Trios Health Center.
The WSP said the collision was caused by Ramirez changing lanes poorly and they plan to have him charged with negligent driving in the second degree.
