Benton County Deputies Arrest Child Porn Suspect

Following a lengthy investigation, Benton County Deputies have arrested  a 48-year-old male suspect.

    Deputies conducted a multi-month investigation

Benton County Deputies, along with the Southeast Regional Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, placed a Benton County man on watch following information leading them to believe  he was involved in child porn.

Dwayne W. Wood was taken into custody, in part with help from Electronic Storage Device K-9 Blaze. An additional search warrant served  at his home in the  2000 Block of Snow Lane, Benton City turned up additional evidence.

According to the BCSO, he is facing the following charges:

"four counts of RCW. 9.68A.070 Possesion of depictions of minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct and two counts of RCW 9. 68A.050 Dealing in depictions of minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct."

The investigation continues.
