Body Found Near Hermiston is Homicide Investigation, Says Sheriff

The Umatilla/Morrow County Sheriff's Major Crimes Unit has begun an investigation into the discovery of a body near Hermiston.

Around 9:37AM Wednesday Deputies responded to call about a person found in a field adjacent to Alpine Road, north of Punkin Center Road.  The body was identified as 28-year-old Jordan Dolean Crandall of Hermiston.

He was a short distance from the road, and alongside an irrigation ditch. Oregon State Police forensic teams also arrived, and after a preliminary investigation, are calling it a homicide. No other details have been released, including cause of death or how long the body had been there.
