CA Homicide Suspect Nailed in Pasco, Will Be Extradited
Boy, that was fast! Less than 24 hours.
Pasco Police reported Wednesday a wanted homicide suspect will be headed back to Merced County CA after being captured in Pasco.
Last October 3rd, a 46-year-old man was fatally injured in an altercation involving the suspect, identified as 38-year-old Luis Gerardo Sandoval of Merced. The victim died six days later in an area hospital. Authorities did not say what killed him or specify his injuries. They did say Sandoval was responsible for the injuries, and that he'd fled the scene after the incident.
The case was not initially reported to local officials until the victim's death, but Sheriff's Deputies were able to determine after an investigation that Sandoval was the suspect.
Then they recently received some tips that he might be in the Pasco area, in hiding. Pasco police were notified, and within 24 hours he'd been located, arrested, and is awaiting extradition.
